Ticket Components
Following are explanations of the components in which tickets can be filed.
- Automatic build system: The system which automates official builds of NVDA, including both releases and development snapshots.
- Braille: Support for braille via refreshable braille displays.
- Browse mode: Used to browse complex read-only documents such as web pages.
- Compound documents: Support for complex editable documents such as IBM Lotus Symphony Documents and editable documents in Mozilla products.
- Controller: The interface used to control NVDA from remote processes to check if NVDA is running, speak and braille messages, etc.
- Core: The core of NVDA. Issues that don't fit anywhere else should be filed here.
- Display model: Captures and facilitates retrieval of text written to the screen.
- Distribution: Distribution and packaging of NVDA, including file organisation, archive generation, build tools, etc.
- Documentation: NVDA's user and code documentation, including generation tools.
- GUI: NVDA's own graphical user interface. This is not for issues related to the GUIs of other applications.
- Installer: NVDa's installer.
- Localisation: Localisation of NVDA, including translation and issues specific to languages other than English.
- Service: The NVDA service, which allows NVDA to run on the logon, lock, UAC and other secure Windows screens.
- Speech: Issues specific to speech output.
- Speech synth drivers: Issues concerning NVDA's support for specific speech synthesisers.
- Web site: The NVDA web site.
