when in Firefox, selecting text with shift+home and then typing a letter makes NVDA announce, "unselected"

To reproduce this problem, do the following steps:

Go to the Firefox location bar or an edit box in the virtual buffer (E.G. the search box in Google).
Type something, then try to select it with shift+home. Then, delete the selected text.
Now, type something E.G. the character "h". You will hear, "unselected h".
