Using NVDA 2012.3 dev snapshot 5472 and running it from source code with eSpeak dev version for testing purposes.
When viewing log viewer, NVDA does not announce keystrokes although the screen displays the names of each keystroke entered while NVDA is running. Also, while viewing the log, under some file names, nVDA outputs:
"An integer is expected"
with some exception messages.
Attached is the log file for this error.

There is a change in eSpeak dev builds which makes it incompatible with stable eSpeak builds and thus current builds of NVDA. We can't fix this until this version of eSpeak goes stable because otherwise, it'll break with the current stable eSpeak.
Changes:
Changed title from "NVDA gives error tone and does not announce some keystrokes in the log viewer" to "Update for eSpeak 1.46dev/1.47"
Milestone changed from None to near-term

Jonathan says that an official release will be made in a few days.
I'd really like this new version be integrated in NVDA 2013.1.
I've made several and several important enhancements and corrections, so that both Brazilian and Portuguese users wants this improvements in NVDA.

Also, other languages has been created, such as Korean, Farsi, Nepali, and other has been greatly improved, such as Spanish.

eSpeak 1.47 has now been released. Unfortunately, the organisation of the espeak-data/voices directory has been changed, which breaks existing configs. I'm still working on a fix.
Changes:
Changed title from "Update for eSpeak 1.46dev/1.47" to "Update to eSpeak 1.47"
Milestone changed from near-term to 2013.1
