Within an Adobe Reader X PDF document, which has been tagged using Acrobat Professional, it is not possible to navigate by a H (header) tag, where it should be possible like any other structural mark-up tag, e.g. headings, list ,tables, list items, graphics, etc.

Does "header" refer to page header in this case? Why would you want to navigate by headers if they're at the top of each page? Please be more specific, providing example documents and ideal scenarios.

Sorry, no, h tags refer to headings, which are not h1, h2, heading level 3's, etc. Instead, they are just "headings". It should be possible to navigate these headings, just like H1-6, which is with the h or SHIFT+H quick nav commands.

The H tags are “Consider This 2.11” and “Your Turn 2.12”.

Excellent! Thanks! Confirmed as fixed in 8c6f528. NVDA can now recognize and navigate h tags (headings without any level) with H key and Elements list.
